Anatolia has given birth to so special grapes for thousands of years. It has raised them with its generous love and has encouraged them to become wine. Wine production in Cappadocia is a story which extends on 4000 years. The miraculous natural being of the Cappadocia kept this story alive up to now.

tarihce.gifInspiring whispers of this giddy legend and the passion of Hasan Turasan for the wine made Turasan Winery established in the most beautiful place that history and nature coalesce: Cappadocia. Our winery started to produce wines with a production capacity of 3000 liters in 1943. Our being a remarkable Anatolian winery refers to 1972, thirteen years after Rüştü Turasan has taken over the winery. In that year, production capacity was 2,000,000 liters. This long established winery is strengthened and developed by the present owner Hasan Turasan adhering to the principles of Turasan Family since 1989.

We believe that knowledge, care, technology and consistent quality are vital for a winery and set the quality of our wines according to this belief even at the very first step of the production. For that reason, we are very careful about the production process from vines to the labels and bottles. We work harder to keep the quality standards of our product range.
We take care of the grapes that will become a wine reflecting the characteristic properties of their vineyards in consistence with the terroir technique. Therefore, we have an admirable viniculture in Turasan Zeynep Vineyards (200,000 ha) at 1050 meters in altitude; also in Turasan Vineyards (300,000 ha). Zeynep Bağları lets us raise beautiful grapes deserving to become wine in one of the highest vineyards of the world.
Emir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tannat are raised in our own vineyards while Muscat, Narince, Öküzgözü, Boğazkere, Kalecik Karası and Syrah are raised in the vineyards that we make contract farming with. When they achieve ideal sugar-acid balance, we harvest them to bring winery.
 We are qualified to talk about the long and miraculous journey of the wine. Since 2007, we work with French wine experts to produce quality and trendy wines.
